ABOUT US
Hakkesetstølen Fjellstugu og Hytter is located at 3,396 feet above sea level in the middle of the most beautiful hiking terrain on the Hardangervidda, just 10 minutes from the mountain village of Geilo. Whether you ski or hike, you'll find an abundance of trails outside our door, waiting to be explored.
ACCOMMODATION
From a dormitory to 3-bedroom cabins, we offer accommodations of various sizes and types, including ten rooms, one apartment and four cabins (Eldhus, Skarvet, Vidda and Dronningytta).
FOOD + DRINK
We have a small café where hot and cold food and drink items can be purchased. Popular menu items (depending on season) include waffles, ice cream, homemade soups and cakes, and Rømmegrøt (sour cream porridge).
Breakfast is included in our room rates, and both breakfast and dinner are available for purchase for all guests (reserve in advance).
AMENITIES
Guests have access to our fireplace lounge, dining room, cafeteria, library, sauna and billiards room.
SMALL GROUPS + PARTIES
We invite you to hold your next party, meeting, course or conference in our lodge.

VIDDA AND SKARVET
VIDDA
Newly built 2016.
With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, Vidda can accommodate up to nine people. The cabin also includes a living room with TV and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and refrigerator w / freezer. Vidda is located next to Skarvet, but each cabin has its own separate entrance.
SKARVET
Newly built 2016.
Skarvet has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, living room with TV and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and refrigerator w / freezer. Skarvet is located next to Vidda, but each cabin has its own separate entrance.
QUEEN'S CABIN
Newly renovated in 2014. Beautifully located with magnificent views about 350 meters from the lodge. The cottage has three bedrooms with space for up to 8 people. A bathroom with shower and toilet, living room with wood burning stove and TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and refrigerator w/ freezer.
